Tue 23 Dec, 11:31 I just wanted to say that I bumped into Hana and her little daughter yesterday as they walked down to the Community Centre to "bag up" all the goodies they had bought with the the money that kind people had donated, mainly on this Forum. They were pulling along a large trolley of items which, once bagged, they were going to take on the BUS to Oxford! She told me that someone else was going to help them, but how they managed I really don't know! I have been thinking of them ever since! I am full of admiration for their thoughtfulness, compassion, and sheer bravery to do this (for a third year) and quite honestly it made my Christmas! |

Sun 23 Nov, 21:19 What a lovely thing to do Hana. I have a number of unopened gifts that would be suitable for these bags, would you be happy to receive these, and if so, where could I drop them off? |

Thu 20 Nov, 09:28 This Christmas, my daughter and I are putting together giftbags for people experiencing homelessness in Oxford - something we have quietly done for the past two years, and something that has become very close to our hearts. Christmas is meant to be a time of warmth, love, and human connection, yet so many people in our own city will face the cold with little to their name. We want to bring a small piece of comfort to those who have nothing - a warm pair of socks, toiletries, snacks, handwritten notes, and other simple items that can make someone feel seen and cared for. I bring my daughter with me each year because I want her to learn the importance of kindness, compassion, and giving back. She helps pack the bags, hands them out with me, and always asks if we can do “just a few more.” Seeing her little heart grow through helping others is one of the most meaningful parts of this tradition. We would be so grateful for any support - whether it’s £2 or £20. You can leave anonymously and honest every little really does help in this instance 🥹 Every little truly helps, and every donation goes directly into creating more giftbags so we can reach as many people as possible. Thank you for helping us bring hope, dignity, and a smile to someone who really needs it this Christmas. 🎄❤️ Please use the link below to donate ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ |
