Thu 20 Nov, 09:28 This Christmas, my daughter and I are putting together giftbags for people experiencing homelessness in Oxford - something we have quietly done for the past two years, and something that has become very close to our hearts. Christmas is meant to be a time of warmth, love, and human connection, yet so many people in our own city will face the cold with little to their name. We want to bring a small piece of comfort to those who have nothing - a warm pair of socks, toiletries, snacks, handwritten notes, and other simple items that can make someone feel seen and cared for. I bring my daughter with me each year because I want her to learn the importance of kindness, compassion, and giving back. She helps pack the bags, hands them out with me, and always asks if we can do “just a few more.” Seeing her little heart grow through helping others is one of the most meaningful parts of this tradition. We would be so grateful for any support - whether it’s £2 or £20.
