Wed 5 Nov, 22:09 (last edited on Wed 5 Nov, 22:11) This year, we made a big decision — to make all of our youth programs completely free. No fees, no barriers — just a safe, inspiring space for young people to show up and belong. But with that choice comes a big challenge… we still have £6,400 left to raise before December 1st to keep everything running. 📌 JustGiving link: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/charlburyyouth#sharePage Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. Tonight with Youth Art Club, I had the joy of visiting the Charlbury Museum, kindly hosted by Sue and Tony. The students explored local history to inspire Charlbury-themed artwork for the Spring Art Week & Exhibition. Afterward, their pieces will even be displayed in the museum! How special is that?! While there, I found this wonderful piece of history about youth work in Charlbury dating back to 1946, just after WWII. It reminded me that this town has always cared about its young people and that we are part of a MUCH bigger story. 💬 A Little Honesty… I’m not a natural fundraiser. My strengths are empowering young people, dreaming up wild ideas and writing stories (I'm an aspiring author). So if anyone in this community has experience (or just enthusiasm!) for organising fundraising events or campaigns, I would love your help! Please do reach out. Let’s show today’s young people that Charlbury still stands behind them — just like it did in 1946. 💛 Thank you for reading, sharing, donating, or lending a hand. — Bryanna PS. We also need another regular Friday Night Drop-In adult volunteer, 7-9pm, as we are growing in attendance! |
