Tue 14 Oct, 21:46 Advice from ptes.org: As Bonfire Night draws near, spare a thought for hedgehogs searching for somewhere cosy to curl up. To a hedgehog, an unlit bonfire looks like the ideal shelter — but once the flames catch, it can quickly turn deadly. Build your bonfire on the day you plan to light it, check carefully underneath before you start, and let event organisers know to do the same. Better still, make a log or leaf pile elsewhere in your garden as a safe refuge for hedgehogs through the colder months. More information here and more to come about these creatures |
