A group of Charlbury residents will be meeting our MP Sean Woodcock at his surgery this Friday 12th September. We plan to ask Sean to support the Climate and Nature (CAN) Bill by giving it an Early Day Motion hearing to put the Bill into Legislation. The CAN Bill is a proposed UK Law that aims to tackle the interconnected crises of climate change and biodiversity loss by setting legally binding targets for the commitments made under the COP21 Paris agreement. For more information visit https://www.zerohour.uk/in-a-nutshell/

We will be handing a letter to Sean, supported and signed by local constituents, addressed to Secretaries of State Ed Miliband and Emma Reynolds for Energy Security and Net Zero & Environment, Food and Rural affairs.

If you would like to add your name in support of the CAN Bill to the 75 signatures already collected, a copy of the letter is being held at the Community Centre and the Corner House with sheets to fill out your name, signature and home postcode.

Please sign by midday on Friday 12th Sept - thanks for your support.
