Fri 5 Sep, 08:28 Like Valerie, I tried the link and got an ‘Error’ message but touching ‘Back to Home’ on that page put me straight to the Arte home page. I look forward to viewing some of the content! |

Thu 4 Sep, 23:34 I'd not heard about it; prompted by your post I tried your link, which didn't work, but then I searched directly and it looks right up my cup of tea - so many thanks. |

Thu 4 Sep, 20:36 (last edited on Thu 4 Sep, 20:37) I'm curious. Over the last few years my favourite TV channels has become Arté, mostly for its documentaries, with a series on the rise of Putin, or the Cornwall coastal path. But its also produced a three part series on the rise of Amsterdam, London and New York as global cities, several pieces about artists - most recently Cezanne, or an investigation into global tax evasion. Its got a series of classic films and quite a lot of classical and modern music concerts too. I suppose I see it as what public broadcasting was like in the UK 30 years ago. I tend to watch programmes either in English or subtitled in English, as they are typically in French or German or a combination of languages. We use the app on our smart TV box to access the programmes. So my question is am I the only person in Charlbury watching https://www.arte.tv/en/ ;? |
