Thu 28 Aug, 16:17 Not only can you see acres of buckwheat and phacelia in a field on the north side of St John's Lane (before you get to Singe Wood), running SE from New Found Out Farm on the Charlbury to Witney road, but there are a few rogue sunflowers there too. |

Wed 27 Aug, 09:10 Might the second white flower be oilseed radish, also used as a cover crop and sown as green manure crop sown in early autumn? |

Wed 27 Aug, 07:48 I saw these on a walk past Dean Grove at the weekend, and had to Google it! I looked up 'cover crops' and came up with the answer that some of the white is Buckwheat, the blue is Phacelia (a relation of Borage) but there was another white flower mixed in, with four petals and large seed pods that looked like a member of the cruciferous family, but I haven’t identified it yet. |
