B4022 closure today for planned roadworks (Roads)

I had a look at the roadworks this evening after being told this morning it was open. The repair to the pipe appears to have been finished and is waiting for the hole to be filled/resurfaced. Frustratingly, if they had traffic lights in operation, I cannot see any reason why the road hasn't been open today. You could comfortably fit a bus or lorry past the hole.

The B4022 from Finstock station to Charlbury junction was closed from today for Thames Water roadworks. Long and tricky diversion. Roadworks planned from 24 - 28th Aug so allow more time to get to Finstock/Witney etc.
