And in due course you should open out to other volunteers to get it up and running. I for one would happily wield a paintbrush or help with other general DIY type stuff.
The White Horse in Stonesfield got massive amounts done with volunteers.

Simon, I agree with every word.

The Shed is a wonderful asset that has been underused in recent years.

Give it up for Tommy and Tom for organising this. 

One thought: I wonder if some people might have equipment that they could donate and that would be suitable?

I think this is great.  It's worth knowing that Tommy and Tom will be in charge of this project themselves and will be doing the work without charge.  The money they raise will simply pay for materials etc and the more they can raise, the more they'll be able to do.

Charlbury has a good number of facilities available to the community for different purposes and in different ways.  The Shed is a versatile space with a usable set of facilities but its informality and unique atmosphere set it apart and the obvious affection the community has for it make it extra special.

A few of us are raising money to make improvements to The Shed including a new PA, lights and a rewire. As most of you know, it’s a brilliant community asset but it’s in need of some TLC.
