We can post descriptions here of any suspicious activity or people if it is helpful to everyone. It will be a good way for us to put the word out,  especially if we’re all spotting something similar going on, as has already happened here with the young man taking photos.

Suspicious behaviour this afternoon on Market Street, young man taking photos didn’t look like a visitor/tourist.

Unusual activity here today on Dancers Hill / Tanners Court, possibly Pooles Lane.

Two young men, one with a plaster caste on lower leg, staring intently at houses, taking numerous photos and when challenged as to what they were doing, replied they were just visitors.  

Clearly this behaviour was not that of casual tourists or visitors.

A piece in the times today about gangs travelling from surrounding cities mainly Coventry & Birmingham targeting towns and villages like ours. Kingham has been hit very badly. I know of 5 vehicle break ins in Charlbury in last few months. I don’t mean to scare anyone but we are being an unfortunate target at the moment so any suspicious vehicles, people etc report and keep an eye out for each other. And tradesmen take in your valuables at night. We have had three abandoned vehicles in recent months that have been suspiciously left with no signs of owners, the police have told me that the gangs are using cars as storage, markers and to test community awareness. Keep an eye out everyone.
