The verges along Banbury Hill as well as the hedges need to be cut for both visibility and access for pedestrians and visitors from the campsite. Would this be possible?

The point Graham is making is that if the verges are cut, you will hopefully see the deer a few seconds earlier and avoid hitting it.

Deer jumping into the road has been happening forever - nothing to do with roadside verge cutting patterns.

The majority do cut the verges and private land owners and farmers maintain their boundaries / exits for safety reasons i guess

So by using public transport or cycle, no living creatures will be harmed!

Sorry Mark,  my mistake,  I must remember to turn my clock back 3 months.  However I see that Gloucestershire have cut theirs

It’s No Mow May Graham - a topic that comes up every year - although the standard answer is likely to be cycle or use public transport !   :-)

When are the verges in Oxfordshire going to be cut? Last night my wife was driving home and a muntjac deer come out the uncut verge straight into her car causing damage and ending the deers life. Its becoming extremely dangerous not only for car drivers, but for all users, cyclist, motorbikers etc etc. I dont want to here "It's for Bio-diversity" what about the wildlilfe's life! A cut verge would save an animals life, you can see them as they can see you. Like I said before, you don't open your front door directly onto a road, of course you don't, because there's a pavement there (or a verge!!)
