I couldn't make it.

Was it a sell out, or a wash out? :-)

Ha! @richard Doesn't this forum get over 5000 visitors a month (or have I made that up)? It will be fun if they all turn up!

All Forum users/readers are most welcome to the Charlbury Society summer drinks party at the Memorial Hall from 5pm on Bank Holiday Monday.

I'd be well up for it provided that there was space to hobble in with my stick.   Might even wear my beret with the EU stars on it.

There's now a thread suggesting that what summarises this Town is having a thread expressing - noisily - several hundred views about our more famous visitors next to one offering free beetroot.

Might a thread that only four reply to, but 24 tick "like", summarise us almost as well?

Or would the follow up thread (what's the best place for a collective drinks session?) summarise us even better?

One of the great things about this area of the world is that we can meet person to person and get to know one another.  How about a summer drinks party perhaps at the Community Centre so we can put more faces with names and make new connections?  Perhaps the Bell or the Bull who have generously supported quite a few local events would supply the beverages?  Just a thought....
