Sun 20 Jul, 10:22 Wishing you both all the best in Scotland. Lily loved rolling in the grass outside your home and every morning made it her special venture, perhaps she was hoping to see sight of your beloved cats. Enjoy your life in Scotland, a truly beautiful place to live. |

Sun 20 Jul, 07:13 (last edited on Sun 20 Jul, 07:17) What a lovely message to read. Thank you, Alan. I agree with you -- saying hello to our townsfolk (and visitors) is one of the best parts of walking through Charlbury. Some seem surprised, almost all return the hello. We hope you enjoy Scotland. |

Sat 19 Jul, 20:50 We wanted to post a wee message in the forum, as, having lived in here for twenty five years, Anna and I are leaving Charlbury tomorrow. They’re allowing me back into Scotland, so we’re headed north. We’ve loved living in Charlbury, such a pretty town in a beautiful part of the country and with a community spirit we’ve not experienced anywhere else and I don’t think we will again. Also, we like the fact that we’ve sold our house on to someone who grew up in the town. To our lovely neighbours and to the other friends we’ve made here, we say thanks for making our time here so enjoyable and enriching. We’ll miss having you close to us. Will I be regularly dipping into this website from our new home in Scotland? What do you think? Love from Alan and Anna. P.S. When you meet your townsfolk in the street, remember to say hello to them. That’s one of the things that’s kept us here this long. |
