I had an Emu ESI-32 (probably still in the loft somewhere!) – lovely piece of kit. But that connected to a hard drive. I wouldn’t bet that a 1980s floppy drive is still working, sadly.

The best option is to replace the floppy drive with a SD card floppy emulator – these simulate the standard Shugart interface used by every floppy drive in the 1980s, but read from an SD card instead. You can read more and order one at https://hxc2001.com/floppy_drive_emulator/ (or there are some on eBay, I think)

You can then download the boot disk image – http://www.emxp.net/HXC.htm – and put that on the SD card.

This is probably beyond the reach of even the mighty Charlbury Forum but...

...does anyone know where I might get hold of a boot disk for an E-MU Systems Emulator II?

(It's a 1980s keyboard instrument and synthesiser.)  And it uses the old 5.25" floppy disks...

The gauntlet is down!
