Vet recommendation?

Hook Norton Charlbury have been great with Roo and Casey, simple straightforward moggies in the prime of life who have needed nothing more than the basics - but it's clear that they love animals and they do the basics very well - including catching them because I can't.   They were brilliant when my neighbour's cat was at the end of its life and they had to persuade her to let him go - they cuddled him, and later sent pawprints.

I've had cause to take them two pusscats a long way from home - one sick, one injured - and they did everything necessary and wouldn't take a penny, and they looked for their owners.

They're really good with the owners as well - maybe not the first thing one thinks about when looking for a vet, but really important.   For example, they started a service of house calls at reduced rate one day a week, which is really useful for elderly pensioners living their lives through their animals as some of my neighbours have to.   No hesitation in recommending.

Charlbury vets are very good. They were especially kind when my elderly cat was PTS in 2022 and sent me a condolences card. Since then, they have been great with my remaining two cats despite how anxious I am about them!

I agree. Can't fault their care. They are friendly and efficient  - and local! Plus further facilities at Hook Norton.

Hook Norton Vets/Charlbury are an independent vets unlike Chipping Norton. All our dogs and cats have been under their care and we’ve been pretty happy with the vets themselves (Gary Jennings is the BEST!), the ability to get appointments, treatment options and price. Though, like everything else, it can be expensive. Overall, we are lucky to have them.

Hello we were hoping to find out what people's experiences at local vets is? Is the Charlbury vet a responsible price, or is there a better local vet people would recommend? Thanks!
