It's a surface dressing which is designed to prolong the life of the road surface and prevent potholes, which we are doing on roads that get a lot of traffic like this one.  We are doing 100 roads with this method across the county, some of which are in a worse state that the one near the station. We did 100 other roads across the county last year including the one to Chadlington and the one to Woodstock.  The line painting won't require the road to be closed again

Does anyone know why the resurfacing was done? The road seemed in very good condition -- and certainly better than many sections which have not been attended to.

It’s open this morning, but there are signs up saying no road markings - so presumably it’ll need to be closed again at some point for repainting.

If you look on one.network it seems to say that the work was completed this afternoon.

Perhaps someone could confirm this.

Hi all,

Does anyone know what part of the road is being closed by the station? (Forest road). There is some conflicting information about when and what parts are actually being closed. Will access be available to Forest works amd House and Carriage etc?

Thanks all!
