The X9 is back to its normal route.   Not sure about the S3 though.

Not sure what exactly happened this morning but I phoned the bus company at 9 am to be told the buses were still being diverted.  Waited along The Slade and phoned again at 9.50, yes still being diverted but no bus came.  Finally went to Church Street at 10.25 and yes the bus came on time.  Talking to some people at the bus stop the S3 had not arrived when I left at 10.35.

All very well but the closure had not been lifted by 18.30 when an S3 was halted outside the Bell and having to wait for a Stagecoach supervisor to attend and assist the driver past the 'closure obstruction'. Whichever company, contractor, organisation or employee is actually responsible should be named, shamed and given a final warning about future contracts or their employment. This is nothing short of negligence and no thought has been given to the inconvenience caused to people who deserve better.

It's supposed to end today. One.network says at midnight, but we were told on the Events page of this website that the closure is not operational after 6 pm.

The temporary bus stops on The Slade are not marked, but are roughly opposite the normal bus stops at Wychwood Close and 5 Ways. Putting an arm out hails the bus. Or get on the S3 bus at the normal stop at the normal time, and be on the bus before it turns around at 9 Acres.

I should have said Londis, rather than Fiveways.

The Pulhams drivers have been fantastic about telling people and looking out for stranded commuters at bus stops.

Good luck with your journey!

Thank you, I realise it's all very well saying they're running like they do for street fair, but I never use them then so had no idea where they stopped. Also occurred to me, since we have more visitors due to the caravan sites, will at least some of them be using buses and need to know where the stops are (probably not, but maybe it should be considered)?

Opposite Fiveways and Wychwood Close.

Good to know our elected representatives have resolved the confusion just in time for election day.

The bus stop couldn’t be found yesterday and ‘The Slade’ was the advice from the bus company on Wednesday about the location of the temporary bus stop. We ended up driving to Witney.
