We are hoping someone will take over the Chair of the Society, if not immediately, then in the near future so that our well attended talks and events can continue next season. My time as Chair is now up after 5 years, but I should be very pleased to discuss what is involved with anyone interested, as I have said to the audience at all our recent talks.   The role has been described in recent editions of the Chronicle as well as having been emailed out to members, and has been on our website for some time , where you will find it :  www.charlburysociety.org.uk

Please do contact me at  chair.charlsoc@gmail.com

Brian: Would you post what's involved? That may be helpful for those who may consider the role(s). :)

After an interesting and well attended meeting on Thursday evening, it is disappointing to know that there will be no more such meetings after the AGM later this month. Nobody has yet stepped up to take over the reins and without that happening the Society will wither. Please, don't let that happen. The society has given so much to the town over the years - not least our wonderful Charlbury Museum. Surely there are people in the community who care enough and have a little time to save the 75 year old Charlbury Society. It doesn't have to be too onerous and plenty of help and support will surely be available.
