Visitors Permits

I don’t think there are scratch cards any more. Woodstock used to have them and they were very easy to use but possibly open to abuse. Everything changed this year. The permit holder has to register the visitors car reg online for a particular 24 hr period. I understand it is a bit convoluted.

Hi @lizleffman once you have registered a Visitor, how do you get the “scratch card”?  Is it electronic? Or mailed to you?  Has anyone used a permit?

Hi Jane, I know Lucy – but who is your techno navy daughter? She sounds intriguing!

As long as you have an address which qualifies for parking permits, you can apply for a visitor permit whether you have a permit for your own car or not.  You just have to provide evidence of your address in order to register.  Jane, if you are still having trouble please send me a message and I will see what I can do to help

Jane, do you currently have your own car that is eligible to park in the CH (Charlbury) parking area and have bought an annual permit for it?

If not, I am pretty sure that you will not be able to get visitor permits but I may be wrong...

Thank Matthew, I have tried that but it offered me permits for Blackbird Leys. I actually don’t want one for my car it is only for my family to visit which is normally for longer than an hour

It seems very complicated every time someone comes to visit

Thank you for trying

Visitors parking permits … if you live in the centre of Charlbury, a visitor, travelling by car has to have a parking permit to stay longer than an hour. Oxford County Council issue these but I haven’t succeeded, after several attempts in obtaining any
My post was to enquire if anyone else had attempted it and succeeded.

I assume you mean visitors permits for the Charlbury residence parking scheme?

If you have an annual parking permit for your car then you get 25 free visitor permits. I just had a look and it is not easy to find how to activate one and you have to go through several convoluted steps (unless I am doing it wrong).

However it seems you log in to your account here (log in is top right):

https://oxfordshire.zatpermit.com

Then click on your name (again top right) to find "My permits" and then click "Actions - Use credits" on the Visitor permits tab where you can finally enter the car details of your visitor. I didn't confirm as I don't need to use one now but hopefully that should work.

I'm not surprised you struggled with it. Very complicated process...

Visitors permits to where?

I don't understand what you're asking about.

Has anyone managed to apply for these?

I've had several attempts and enlisted a techno navy daughter to have a go ...to fail again and again.

Frustrating
