Thu 9 Apr, 11:27 (last edited on Thu 9 Apr, 12:00) I am a resident of Charlbury. What I would like to obtain is a SPLATT (Special Parking Leave All The Time). This would then allow me to park on the double yellow lines, particularly on Friday and Saturday evenings. I assume that all of those who were parked on the double yellows and who (yet again) blocked the bus from getting through on Satuirday night were in posession of a SPLATT. When OCC introduced their parking "improvements" to Charlbury, for a few weeks we had parking wardens here regularly. But then they lost interest. It's all very well telling us to fill in a form to report illegally-parked cars ... when will it be addressed? Probably at the earliest, the following Monday morning, by some poor office worker suffering from a hangover, when the car in question has long since departed. To quote an infamous Royal (about the only time he was right in his entire life): |

Thu 9 Apr, 05:54 It's difficult isn't it, parking is always so full so I can clearly understand why the scheme was introduced. |

Wed 8 Apr, 21:26 Oh I hope not, where am I going to park me V8 Super duper turbo Range Rover! Seriously though, there's no option now, even the Spendlove is getting fuller more regularly. |

Wed 8 Apr, 17:45 Did anyone ever come up with a solution to this problem - as a new resident I'm finding it just the same as described! |

Fri 21 Mar 2025, 15:41 If you are only seeing contractor permits then your property might not be eligible for residents permits. |

Fri 21 Mar 2025, 14:36 Chris. I was asking specifically about residents’ permits. |

Fri 21 Mar 2025, 12:53 There certainly ought to be an option for Charlbury businesses to apply for relatively cheap permits for employees during the working day, and when many residents are out of town working elsewhere. The last thing we want is for Charlbury to lose it’s valued town businesses, me thinks. |
