Sat 19 Apr, 11:58 I recently received the minutes of the Charlbury Patient Participation Group steering Committee dated 28th Feb 2025. Most of the Great and the Good of that group were there - I am not included so I ask the following questions. 1. Where did the edict to remove telephone option come from? NHS England now in the process of being disbanded by HM Govt. 2 Why did CMC deem it necessary to 'come into line'. My sister-in-law who lives in Northumbria has not heard about the edict. 3. Why did CMC take the decision to fall into line without consulting those who I thought they were here to serve 4. What was the object of removing the option? To save money? How much money has been saved? 5. Do CMC have a clear idea of how many and who have been left in limbo? 6. What is Healthwatch Oxfordshire and why have they not contributed? I end this by thanking CMC for their receent Covid booster Vaccination programme. I also thank them for the care and attention that I am currently receiving whilst I am on diabetes watch |

Sat 19 Apr, 10:43 I've had no acknowledgment of my (repeated) request for clarification from the surgery. Maybe I/someone should actually turn up in person prepared to insist? |

Sat 19 Apr, 10:20 I am perplexed (understatement). Used the NHS app for my repeat prescription Placed on Monday 14th April. Called at pharmacy Wednesday 16th April - not ready; Called art pharmacy Saturday 19th April not received anything from CMC. Went to CMC on my way back home - CMC closed - not allowed to be ill on a bank holiday?? Pharmacy next opens on Tuesday 22nd April, my pills run out on Monday 21st April. Back to my chosen eptaph "I told you I was ill but I couldn't get the pills" |

Wed 19 Mar, 09:32 No consequence to those without internet access but I ordered my prescription this morning via the app, approved short time later and pharmacy confirmed it will be ready today. Very efficient service. |

Wed 19 Mar, 07:04 My latest episode in this saga is - I duly completed the "Access to GP online services - This service id not available to any child under thee age of 16 - form". Trudged down to CMC only to be informed that I had to go back and bring my passport and utility bill to prove who I was and where I lived. Been registered at CMC for only 30 years. I suppose we/they have to be protected from scammers. |

Tue 18 Mar, 15:37 I've just sent this to the surgery: On 6th March I emailed you with a copy of my posting on the Charlbury Forum asking you to give some clarity on the implementation of the new policy on repeat prescriptions. There's quite a good deal of correspondence about it on the forum, with many people wondering what's going on - especially people who are not online and can't walk to the surgery. Would it please be possible for you to make a posting on the forum offering guidance? |

Tue 18 Mar, 15:19 Does anyone know how this affects children who I understand can’t order medication via the app? |

Mon 17 Mar, 07:05 Got the NHS app working with help from Hannen and my Grandson. Try to do my first prescription re-order only to be told that I had not obtained permission to use the App. Another trip down to CMC, obtain the form fill it in and return to CMC. Doh |

Wed 5 Mar, 15:41 (last edited on Wed 5 Mar, 15:42) With permission may I place this as a new topic? From the discussion so far it seems that • Repeat prescription requests can no longer be submitted by telephone. The options are (i) do it online – several different pathways available, or (ii) put a paper request in the box… |
