Fri 14 Feb, 16:58 Agreed Michele. It's just one more thing... I wouldn't mind if we could buy the compost back from the council at a reduced rate. |

Fri 14 Feb, 16:55 Perhaps households could share them? Ours is often only half full, because we put what we can on our own compost heap -- but a green bin is invaluable for woody prunings, the autumn leaf fall and overflow grass mowings. And the ecological footprint of driving to the tip is dreadful. |

Fri 14 Feb, 16:33 (last edited on Fri 14 Feb, 16:35) Can buy a compost bin from Amazon for less. Probably last a lot longer than a year as well! |

Fri 14 Feb, 16:22 I know. It just feels like everything is so expensive these days, and getting worse. Back when I was a child (cough)... |

Fri 14 Feb, 14:06 It was £50 last year, so it's gone up by 5%. |

Fri 14 Feb, 14:06 It doesnt encourage people to do it does it. I will have to start putting my grass cuttings in the waste bin. |

Fri 14 Feb, 12:38 I try not to complain -- I really do. But £52.50 for green bin collection for the next year is rather a BIIIIIG price hike. I know it's less than it would cost me to drive out to the tip past Witney to carry all my green stuff, but sheesh. |
