Post - price shock - Acceptable ? (Debate)

Having to send documents by recorded delivery ( ended up being special delivery ) a standard sized letter envelope - a charge of £ 7.35 was somewhat a shock and excessive over the price of a standard first class stamp of the same size ! Recently, a first class letter from Charlbury to Hook Norton , took 9 days to arrive !  No wonder the use and service is in decline . Our post person , is fantastic- so can keep his £2 million bonus
