Sun 7 Apr: Amphibian walk with Wychwood Forest Trust at Dean Common, Spelsbury

This event is in the past.

A 2 hour guided amphibian walk at Dean Common, Spelsbury has been arranged for April 7th at 11am.

Join our expert herpetologist Neil Clennell for an early spring walk around our Dean Common nature reserve to learn about the lifestyle and requirements of our native amphibians. Naturally secretive creatures, the breeding season is the best time to find them if you know where to look.

Dean Common has healthy populations of frogs, toads and newts, and there should be a good chance of seeing adults and spawn.

A lifelong expert, Neil was previously Curator of Herpetology at Bristol Zoological Gardens.
