Mon 18 Mar: Why are you doing this?

This event is in the past.

'Why are you doing this?' is a series of talks for Lent arranged by Churches Together in Charlbury. In these talks we shall hear from some of our neighbours dedicated, in different ways, to making the world a better place.

Talks are being held in the Friends Meeting House, Market Street, on Monday evenings at 7.30pm between 26 February and 18 March.

On Monday 18 March Dr Anne Miller will talk about her life-long passion for studying and protecting the natural environment. Anne has been an academic and group leader in Environmental Sciences for over 25 years, developing and delivering innovative programmes in various institutions including Oxford Brookes, Gloucester and Oxford Universities. In her voluntary work she is a member of the Evenlode Catchment Partnership and the Charlbury Town Council Environmental Group and is biodiversity and land management advisor to the Southill Solar community energy project.

Everyone is welcome. There is no charge but donations will be gratefully accepted and given to charities nominated by the speakers.
