Mon 4 Mar: Why are you doing this?

This event is in the past.

'Why are you doing this?' is a series of talks for Lent arranged by Churches Together in Charlbury. In these talks we shall hear from some of our neighbours dedicated, in different ways, to making the world a better place.

Talks are being held in the Friends Meeting House, Market Street, on Monday evenings at 7.30pm between 26 February and 18 March.

On Monday 4 March Angela Gwatkin and Brigid Avison will talk and answer questions about their experience of taking part in non-violent direct action intended to focus attention on the climate crisis and the need for radical change in human behaviour if we are to avert the most damaging effects of climate change. They will be discussing the pros and cons of direct action not promoting any particular organisation or way of protesting.

Everyone is welcome. There is no charge but donations will be gratefully accepted and given to charities nominated by the speakers.
