Sat 30 Sep 2023: Ways of Seeing© Charlbury - Drawing Workshop Tonal Relationships and Texture

This event is in the past.

This is the second in a series of drawing workshops led by experienced artist-teacher Rachel Woods, suitable for beginners and skilled enthusiasts. No previous drawing experience is necessary. Spaces are limited to 8 participants, ensuring maximum tuition for each participant.

Each workshop is stand alone, but the complete series provides an introduction to observational drawing and experimental use of traditional drawing materials. Each workshop explores two or more of the visual elements - line, shape, space, tone, texture, rhythm and scale through mark-making. Creative confidence, knowledge and skills gained support further creativity, for example, using drawing as a starting point in painting, printmaking and other specialist areas.

The Art Room in The Corner House, Market Street, Charlbury, OX7 3QW serves as the base for these workshops, from which to then access nearby historic buildings and gardens for drawing activities.

Bespoke workshops, facilitated weekly drawing groups, private drawing tuition are also offered. For more information and to book a place, please email woodsrje@outlook.com
