Painting and Sketching in the Galapagos
An illustrated talk by David Pollock
Why draw? Why make sketchbooks? And why go to the Galapagos to do it?
David will describe his visit to the “Enchanted Isles”, the history of the islands; their unique landscape; the extraordinary species found there; the need to protect them; and his reasons for making a record in ink and watercolour of wildlife, place and people there.
Illustrations will include images from his “Galapagos Sketchbook”, recently published by Pallas Athene in aid of the Galapagos Conservation Trust.
