The next lunch and presentation at Probus will be at Witney Lakes at 12.00 pm on Wednesday 1st June
This month's presentation will be given by Stephen Barker on Soldiers, Saints and Sinners. Oxfordshire Characters from the British Civil Wars 1642-51’
Oxfordshire played a significant part in the First Civil War – Oxford became the Royalist capital in late 1642. This participation has left a legacy of wonderful stories and fascinating characters as we will hear in this talk.
Probus lunches are now open to all and women are particularly welcome. They are an excellent opportunity to meet people over an enjoyable lunch and listen to an interesting talk. The atmosphere is very informal and dress is smart casual.

Lunch cost £24 for visitors but is free for anyone who is thinking of joining Probus who wants to see what we do.
