This event is in the past.

As the last event of the Charlbury Festival, St Mary’s Choir will be singing a Choral Evensong for the 150th anniversary of the birth of Ralph Vaughan Williams, composer of many of Britain’s best loved classical works and editor of The English Hymnal.

  • Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis in C major
  • Anthem: ‘O How Amiable’
  • Hymns including Down Ampney (Come down, O love divine) and Sine Nomine (For all the saints)
  • Organ prelude on ‘Rhosymedre’

6pm at St Mary’s Church; the service will last just under an hour. All welcome.
