In a new film by Alan Snelling, Rob Stepney interviews Rob Jackson about unexpected archaeological discoveries and his working life spent in the fields around Walcot – a period of dramatic change in agricultural practice. This will be followed by an open discussion with Rob Jackson.
Neil Pakenham-Walsh and Rob will also bring along metal detecting finds to show the diverse stories the soil can reveal – from lost medieval silver pennies to antibiotics used to treat mastitis, and from oil painters to the Primrose League.
