The UK Parliament has declared a national climate emergency. MPs are calling for a net zero carbon emissions target by 2050.
What might a low carbon Charlbury look like? What would this mean for everyone’s daily life? How could we get there?
Charlbury has already built its own community owned solar energy station and in Oxford the Low Carbon Hub has just been received a £40m grant to trial low carbon energy across the county.
What are the first steps to that net zero future in our area? What can individuals do? How can we work together to make a real change?
Mary Livingstone is a freelance sustainability consultant living in Charlbury specialising in energy policy. She has previously worked for local government, a multinational engineering consultancy firm, and the Zero Carbon Hub. Mary is motivated by her concern for the current climate emergency and by finding ways in which we can come together to make a difference.
The talk/discussion is free to attend and is at 7:30 in the Cornbury Room at the Bell Inn.
