Thu 11 Apr 2019: Charlbury Green drinks - how to create a sustainable food system?

This event is in the past.

A talk by Tom Carman of Cultivate Oxford at the Cornbury Room at the Bell Inn at 7:30pm on Thursday 11th April.

How does the UK food system work? What are the impacts of agriculture on the environment? How could we create a more equitable food system? Is local food really better? What might a sustainable food system look like?

Sustainable Charlbury is facilitating a series of talks about local environmental issues. This event considers what a sustainable food system might look like.

Tom’s is passionate about food and chairs Cultivate Oxford. Cultivate are a cooperative who are working  with a local network of organic food producers who are paid fairly for their produce. Cultivate’s suppliers include Westmill Organics, Waterperry Gardens and Brightwell Bees.

Entry is free and we will retire for drinks after the talk when you can discuss issues in a relaxed environment.
