Fri 6 Nov-Sat 7 Nov: ENCORE an Irish evening with Paddy Hitler and Slainte
PADDY HITLER IS BACK… Following a run of sell-out performances in Oxford, Charlbury and at the Westport Arts Festival in Ireland, over the past eighteen months, Paddy Hitler returns to Charlbury. This one act play penned by local playwright Kieran Cooke tells the true story of Paddy, son of Adolf Hitler’s half-brother and an Irish farmer’s daughter from County Wicklow. It covers his struggling upbringing in Liverpool, time spent with his uncle Adolf in Germany during the critical lead-up to the second world war and his eventual escape to New York…
IRISH MUSIC IS BACK… The play will be followed by a session with the much-loved local Irish band Slainte, who have performed at festivals and events nationwide and have played frequently at The Shed to acclaim.
