Thu 20 Aug: Walkers Are Welcome – Hanborough to Charlbury – NEW DATE: Thursday 20 August
Good news! Now that the very hot weather has eased, we’re able to go ahead with our Hanborough to Charlbury Walkers Are Welcome walk, which was postponed last week.
The new date is Thursday 20 August.
We’ll catch the 10.10am train from Charlbury Station (Platform 1 – over the bridge), arriving at Hanborough at 10.17am and starting our walk at around 10.30am.
From Hanborough, we’ll enjoy a 13km (8-mile) walk through the Oxfordshire countryside, making our way to the Roman Villa at North Leigh, where we’ll stop for lunch. We’ll then continue through Stonesfield before walking back to Charlbury.
There are limited opportunities for a full coffee stop before the villa, but we’ll stop for drinks and snacks along the way.
