Riverside celebrates its 30th year this summer!

30 years of Charlbury’s much-loved, entirely free, sustainable, volunteer-powered festival, bringing brilliant music, good company and a little bit of glorious mayhem to the Millfield.

The theme this year is flags - make one, bring one, tell us who you are!

The music

The Unbelievable Truth, Samurai 7, Beaker and DB Band, plus around 40 other up-and-coming bands on 3 stages delivering indie, folk, electronica, and rock. Full line-up in the programme, coming soon.

Festival fun

  • Pints in the sunshine, courtesy Hook Norton Brewery - holding at £6 a pint for 2026
  • Children’s tent - crafty fun to keep the little Riversiders busy
  • Busker’s Stage - step up and show us what you’ve got
  • Greenfields - craft demos and have-a-go sessions, from stone masonry to blacksmithing
  • New Green Room talks, on everything from local ecology to managing international rock band tours

Plus the best local food businesses, our fabulous gin bar and all our lovely local traders open for business.

Get involved

Riverside is a free festival. Everyone, from the bands to the bar staff, donates their time, energy and expertise. If you’d like to help out this year, fill in our volunteer form - we’d love to have you along.

We can’t wait to see you on the Millfield!

The Riverside Crew xx
