WODC Executive on Tour meeting in Charlbury Memorial Hall on 11th March, – Focus on the Evenlode Catchment and Nature Recovery
2.00 – 3.00 WODC executive meeting
3:00pm – Presentation by Melanie Dodd (principal ecologist at WODC) on what the Council is doing for nature recovery (key priorities from the Council’s Nature Recovery Plan 2024-2030) followed by Q&A session
3:30pm to 5:30pm – Nature recovery activities - all ages welcome to participate
• Evenlode Catchment Partnership – river restoration and natural flood management, including their River table demonstrating how rivers work and how floods can be mitigated
• Charlbury Land and Nature Group and Charlbury Wildlife Society – habitat corridors and stepping stones
Mapping our wildlife: garden ponds, roadside verges, hedgehogs and more
• WODC and Wychwood Forest Trust– information about conservation volunteer groups, Nature Recovery Plan and Local Nature Recovery Strategy (for more information)
