Sat 31 Jan: Saturday market, Charlbury Community Centre
Styan family produce will be back with their stall this Saturday the 31st January, as usual, outside the Community Centre between 9am & Noon.
Alongside the familiar potatoes, onions, eggs & juices, this week there are kalettes, also known as flower sprouts, that don't taste like sprouts, but have a fine taste and tender texture. When steamed, they make a nice base for cheesy scrambled egg for a quick lunch.
Look out for cavolo nero, parsnips and eating apples too this week.
Seville oranges should also be available.
In addition this week, we have Padstow Fish on site too. Here's how Padstow describe their offering on their website.
We are a family business based in Cheltenham but connected to Padstow through family. Our fish is sourced fresh from Cornish suppliers and we pride ourselves on supplying diverse selection of fish and seafood. We do not hold stock so you can guarantee your fish is the freshest it can be.
Advance notice too for the Monthly market on the 1st Saturday of February, with Styan, Padstow Fish and Primal Meats. Sadly, Wheymore cheese can't be with us this month but they'll return soon.
We hope to see you there.
