What’s on

Sat 24 Jan 2026: Great Bear Radio, Flamingo & Sebastian Reynolds @ The Shed

A great night of local music at the newly refurbished venue

Great Bear Radio

Oxfordshire based 4-piece. Debut band EP released late 2024. Nightshift magazine describes elegantly sombre quixotic existential interstellar rock referencing Nick Drake forming a band and Jenniferever with synths yawning and stretching like the frozen northern hemisphere just before spring.

Flamingo

Flamingo is the solo project of Italian-born, Charlbury-based Lavinia Siardi, also singer for the Oxford emo band Spring Major. Joined by Joe Saxton on drums, Flamingo will bring a set where longing, melancholia and hope merge into the dreamy atmospheres of their set, exploring tunes from their album Komorebi and new songs still in the making.

Sebastian Reynolds

A startling combination of dense, electronic atmospherics, driving bass and heavy beats that blend influences from trip hop, psychedelic rock and acid techno, with Asian Gamelan style soundscapes thrown into the mix. Musical inspirations include The Eraser by Thom Yorke, artists such as Four Tet and Susumu Yokota in their combining of Asian instruments and electronics and the haunting, alien spaciousness recalling film composers such as Vangelis and Jóhann Jóhannsson.
