Thu 8 Jan 2026: Permissive Path Closures – Thursday 8 January 2026
A brief notice for anyone planning to use local permissive paths: several routes will be closed for the day on Thursday 8 January 2026 as part of routine practice to ensure they retain their permissive status.
The closures include:
• Paths through Nine Acres Recreation Ground
• The route from the Cemetery extension to the bottom of Pound Hill (part of a Gateway Walk)
• Paths through Wigwell (closed by the Wychwood Forest Trust)
• The permissive path between Hundley Way and Banbury Hill Farm (and the Old Shed)
Residents with gates opening onto Oxpens Allotments, Nine Acres Recreation Ground and Wigwell are also reminded that these do not constitute a Right of Way.
