Lord Nuffield’s great generosity with Liz Woolley, local historian of Oxfordshire
Liz will discuss the individual who arguably did more than any other to transform Oxford in the twentieth century, physically, economically and socially. Lord Nuffield’s success as an industrialist allowed him to become one of Britain’s most generous benefactors and this talk focuses specifically on his vital support to various Oxford colleges.
