Cafe Manager opportunity - Corner House Garden Cafe
Charlbury Deli and Café Limited, trading as The Corner House Garden Café, is looking for an experienced, hands-on Café Manager to lead and develop our community-owned café in the heart of Charlbury. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the café’s next chapter as it moves towards a new model of community ownership.
You will oversee day-to-day operations, front-of-house service, kitchen and retail activity, stock control, supplier relationships, financial performance, food safety and health and safety compliance. You will also lead and support a small team, maintain high service standards, develop seasonal, affordable menus using locally sourced products where possible, and develop marketing strategies to grow the café’s visibility.
We are seeking a confident communicator with at least one year’s café or hospitality management experience, strong commercial awareness, a passion for good food and coffee, and a flexible, community-focused approach. A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is required.
The role is 30 hours per week on average, over four or five days, at £17.50 per hour, with 5.6 weeks’ paid holiday inclusive of Bank Holidays and access to the NEST pension scheme.
