Asbestos Laboratory Services are looking to recruit a full-time Trainee Laboratory Analyst to join their busy company based in North Leigh, Witney. The role will involve:
Analysing client bulk samples for asbestos fibres on a daily basis.
Participate in the internal training programme to become an authorised analyst.
Understand the technical procedures for ISO17025, TP1 and HSG248
Maintain acceptable standards within the documented internal quality control system.
Issue test reports after analysis, checking technical content.
Booking in samples for analysis
Allocation of the daily amount of samples to analyse
Complete all necessary quality assurance paperwork as required by the Quality and/or Technical Manager.
Maintaining good housekeeping within the laboratory environment
Liaise with the QM and/or TM on matters relating to quality control.
Taking calls and liaising with clients.
Full training will be given in-house followed by a three day course and exam for the P401 qualification at another location.
The position would suit a Year 11 or Year 13 leaver with an interest in the sciences and laboratory work.
