The Basket Room is a young and exciting ethical company working with basket weaving cooperatives in Africa. We design our collections in-house and manage production in Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania and Uganda.
We are now looking to recruit 3 temporary warehouse and packing assistants to process our container deliveries . A temporary full-time position for 3-4 weeks with a 37.5 hour working week, 9.30am - 6pm Monday to Friday. Starting end of Feb (exact date to be confirmed)
Location: Cornbury Park
Duties:
Organise and unpack the contents from two containers.
Count and check against packing lists
Quality control following company guidelines
Pick and pack wholesale orders for immediate dispatch
Liaise with the wholesale manager on progress and orders completed
We are looking for organised people with meticulous attention to detail and a systematic approach to their work. Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential. Lifting and moving heavy items will be part of the job so must be fit and healthy.
