Lady Rotherwick puts her hand on her heart for the BHF ~New BHF event in Charlbury, Oxfordshire~

The British Heart Foundation (BHF) has launched a new charity run, the Cornbury Deerstalker, through Cornbury Estate Deer Park and Wychwood Forest on Sunday 21st November. Lady Rotherwick, a keen runner and owner of the Estate and forest, is generously hosting the event in her heavily protected land.
Lady Rotherwick said; “Running in the estate is breathtakingly beautiful. The forest is private, ancient, untouched and has a mystical quality about it. It’s a run few people will forget.”
She added; “I like to help good causes as often as I can, it is a pleasure to know that I can do something for others – and The British Heart Foundation is a very worthwhile cause.”
The event takes place on Sunday 21st November and joggers can choose to run five or ten miles to tailor make their personal challenge. The route will take participants through the beautiful Cornbury Estate Deer Park before venturing into the stunning Wychwood forest on twisting trails.
The route is entirely off-road and traffic free so participants can enjoy the beautiful surroundings and wildlife – and perhaps even spot some of the famous deer. Joggers are encouraged to bring along traditional deerstalker hats in order to stay warm and keep with the theme of the event.
Sarah Kirkpatrick, Events Organiser for the BHF, says: “Events like the Cornbury Deerstalker Jog raise vital funds that help the BHF continue its life-saving and life-changing work – as well as boosting the fitness levels and heart health of those who enter.
Sarah added: “These grounds are usually closed to the public so it really will be a rare treat for everybody involved.”
Every six minutes someone dies of a heart attack in the UK, and the BHF is fighting to reduce this statistic. Whether you are a group of friends looking for a fun day out or a running enthusiast looking for your next challenge, the BHF Cornbury Deerstalker Jog is a great opportunity to have fun, get fit and save lives.

To enter the Cornbury Deerstalker Run, please visit bhf.org.uk/deerstalker or call 0800 169 3672. Registration is just £12 for adults and £5 for children. Children must be 12 years or over and accompanied by an adult.
