Permissive path beside Pound Hill

The permissive path from the bottom of Pound Hill up to the cemetery extension is a useful, safe way of avoiding the traffic on Pound Hill. Unfortunately, as users have found, the recent rainfall had made it almost impassable. Mud had become particularly deep next to the bridge installed last year as part of the 'Cotswold Gateway' Project. Thanks to the donation of a load of wood chippings from JAG Timber, Cotswold Voluntary Wardens have been out today dealing with the worst of the mud and laying a thick layer of chippings between the bridge and the top of the slope. The path is now negotiable again.
