See what happens to our food and garden waste

As part of International Compost Awareness Week the OCC Waste Team are organising free tours for residents and councillors to see where their food and garden waste goes after it’s collected and how it is recycled. Please see details below:

  • Tuesday 7th May 3.00pm - tour of Ardley In Vessel Composting Plant (where garden waste is taken to be composted – most relevant for Cherwell residents, but all welcome)

  • Wednesday 8th May 10.30am - tour of Wallingford Anaerobic Digestion Plant (where food waste is taken to be converted to energy and fertiliser – most relevant for West, South, Vale and City residents but all welcome)

For more information or to book a place please email waste.management@oxfordshire.gov.uk
