Sat 14 Apr 2012: Charlbury Garden Society Spring Show

This event is in the past.

The Spring Show is open in the Memorial Hall from 12 noon to 4pm. Everyone is welcome to bring something to the show, the schedule of classes and entry form are available on the website, also the Station, Pharmacy, Library and Post Office - you don't have to be a member to exhibit. The Spring Show is held in conjunction with the Charlbury Art Society Spring Exhibition.

The history of the Cups awarded at the Shows makes interesting reading.

The Society has a new project this year for children, Groovy Growing, which focuses on growing plants to help the preservation of bees and other insects. The project is being run in conjunction with Hilltop Garden Centre and children can exhibit their entries at all 3 shows. To register for this project phone Wendy Clifford on 01608 811006 or email wmf.clifford@virgin.net If the bulbs flower too early, take a photo of them. If they are a bit late then bring them into the warm a couple of weeks before the show to give them a boost. Start your egg-head in mid March.

Membership of the Charlbury Garden Society is just £3 a year and gives you discount at local garden centres and discounts on the Suttons catalogue.
