We're back after a summer break!
The 2016/17 season starts with music from the fabulous Hot Club of Hastings, specialists in Jazz Manouche (or gypsy jazz). Expect a feast of this irresistible music and learn about its evolution in Paris from the musette music of the Auvergne and accordion dances of Italy via Argentine tango and American jazz into the swing music of geniuses like Django Reinhardt.
This is the music of travelling people and we're delighted also to have Juliet Heslewood with us who will be picking up this theme in the spoken-word section of the evening.
