Sun 1 May 2016: Annual Parish Boundary Walk

This event is in the past.

As usual the walk will take place on Rogation Sunday which this year is Sunday 1st May
The walk starts at 10am at the old Boundary Oak tree on the Forest Road (B4437 to Burford).Lifts to the start of the walk will be available from 9.45 in the station car park

The walk is about 10 miles in total although it is possible to join and leave the walk at several points. The walk finishes outside the Corner house and we would normally be back at around 4.00 pm
Thanks to local landowners parts of the walk and in particular the first section of the parish boundary through Cornbury Park are on paths not normally accessible to the public
The walk sets off to the south across Cornbury land and continues in an anti-clockwise direction.
The lunch break is on the eastern boundary at Model Farm, Ditchley. We expect to be there by 1.00pm We then return to Charlbury through Spelsbury and finally the Mill Field and back to the Corner House.
Dogs may be brought but must be on a lead at all times. Children must be with adults. Stout footwear recommended -the path is muddy in parts
This year the walk will be led by Tony Merry and Peter Kenrick
