A talk on the art of Ai Weiwei

With homemade cake and great coffee !

Artist, critic and curator Clare Carswell MA(RCA) will give an illustrated talk on the life and work of Chinese dissident artist Ai Weiwei. The talk will explore the art of this fascinating and controversial artist and will look at the impact of politics on his art, his relationship with other artists and how he has become a global superstar. It will discuss the works on display in his current exhibition at Blenheim Palace and how they embody recurring themes in his work.

The talk will take place in the relaxed and charming setting of White Hart Cottage. It will be a small group event and places are limited.
